Primary research Primary research is research carried out to answer specific questions or issues witch could involve questionnaires, interviews or surveys. for example, you could create a survey to find out witch people get a bus to leeds or York. This is also known as field research. It is fresh data which has not previously been collected before. For example, TV show and movie viewing ratings. Secondary research Secondary research is data that has already been researched and you are just finding it. For example, reading books, watching documentaries and reading company reports. This is also knows as desk research. Qualitative research Qualitative research is used to uncover what people think about things. For example, focus group interviews. It is used to uncover peoples motivations(why they think the things they do). It is less formal and structured.
