Pitching a media product idea to a audience: Christmas Pitch

1:To be able to pitch an idea for a media product to an audience

BRIEF
Every advertisement becomes a reality due to a pitch presentation. In order to get the green light the creator needs to consider the genre, the synopsis, the target audience, cast and crew as initial presentation.

For this assignment you will create pitch for christmas tv advertisement for a shop or charity.

Duration of your pitch is between 5-10 minutes.

You will provide feedback to your peers on their pitch.

1 Deliver a persuasive oral presentation on the concept and content of a media product to an audience.

3.1 give critical feedback to a peers idea and pitch 

The student called Deacon created an ad for amazon prime. His advert was about a woman who is getting pushed about at work and basically having a hard time and when she gets home and sees a christmas sale on amazon prime and she orders various product to make her happy. His target audience was busy parents at christmas time. His main actress was Julie Roberts because she is a middle aged women which is the typical age for parents.Something that really caught my eye was the structure of the presentation because i was in the exact order of what to do on each slide. However their was a slide missing. I would like to see a storyboard to show a better understanding of the story of the advert.

Another student called Layton made an ad for coca cola ad. His advert was about a coca-cola truck traveling to various rich as poor countries with his main after being Anthony Joshua.The reason why he has chosen this after is because  a lot of people look up to him. Something that caught my eye was the target audience witch was for all financial status. But i was very confused about what the story's about, i would of liked to see a storyboard to get a better understanding of what it was about.

4.1. Self-critique own idea and pitch performance.

My task was to produce a Christmas pitch for a audience.

My influences were other john Lewis ads and other departments stores like Debenhams and Fenwick's. This is known as secondary research.

The mood I want to show is warmth and kindness and for the message I wanted to distribute was to she love and kindness at Christmas time.

The brief was successfully answered by generating ideas and creating a 5 minute pitch advertisement for Christmas.

I had issues with find a proper animation tablet and resolved it by researching what tablet Disney and Dreamwork use.

I succeeded with my original intentions.

I am most proud of my storyboard because I have given a clear explanation of whats happening in each scene.

I felt disappointed with the execution of the evidence of research as I could have been more specific of why I chose the adverts as evidence.

Next time I will describe why have chosen these particular adverts.

I have learned how to pick out certain information to a relevant subject.

If I had go back and change anything, I would explain why i have chosen the adverts and how it would of helped me with my pitch.

I would go ahead with my pitch if I took parts in Allan Sugars Apprentice because my advert is very moving and has a clear message.
