Film synopsis A film synopsis tells us how compelling and how ambitious a film is. I can also show how passionate a filmmaker can be. Script A script is used to give a clear explanation of storytelling, the setting and where the protagonist are. Screenplay structure A screenplay is structured in three acts. Act one: the set up: this act is usually about half an hour and set up the films plot, characters, style and tone. It also sets up a situation for the main protagonists and the motivations for the antagonist.
