James Potts L2 media

Our tasks we i completed for my induction wee learning how to use photoshop and design a magazine cover of my own choice. I also learned how to create and edit a short promotional video for the college use premiere pro.i learn many skills like adding audio such as music to my video, using the razor tool ad premiere pro properly and how to make my photoshop editing more sharp. Both project went well and was close to what I was expecting. the things I could improve are trying to put more detail into my magazine cover.

Our main goal as team was to work together to create a short promotional video for the college. we got organized by creating storyboards and talking about what we all want to include in the video and then decided what will be suitable to go in the video. I am woking with Sam and Ofentse and we have created a story board to give an idea on how the promotional video will play out. we shared our ideas and decided which ideas of ours were the best to try and try to make the best promotional video we can. We had various ideas, for example one aspect was to film each building in college. this is an idea that the group decided was going to be the most interesting idea to film and produce. we are going to do storyboard to show whats going on in each shot, we would usually need to book out equipment however as the camera on my mobile phone is of good quality for the task, we will use this to film it. editing will be done as a group.

To practice on photoshop, I attempted to design a magazine cover. this was to help me with the tools on photoshop.

Hello, my name is James Potts and I'm a level 2 media student at sunderland college. This blog is going to hold all of my media work. The reason i picked media is because i have many experiences in media, for example, i studied media at GCSE in school and I've always liked the campaign side of media and that's what i want to do as a career in the future. I love playing sports such as football, rugby, gymnastics, tennis and MMA(missed martial arts). i also like watching gangster, war and neo noire style films. my favorite film is children of men because it explores the importance of hope and they way it was filmed is incredible.
